General students have been ordered to leave the halls of Dhaka University in the situation arising out of the quota reform movement. RAB Spokesperson Lt. Colonel Munim Ferdous.
He said that the students have been instructed to leave the hall. If they do not leave the campus, we will act according to the instructions given by the Dhaka University administration.
He said this while talking to reporters at Dhaka University’s VC premises on Wednesday (July 17).
The spokesperson said, we sympathize with the emotions of the students. But if the third party wants to use their sentiments for profit, then we will take legal action against them.
The university has been closed indefinitely on Wednesday in order to maintain the safety and academic environment of the students. At the same time, students have been instructed to vacate the hall by 6 pm on Wednesday.
This decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the Syndicate of Dhaka University under the authority of Article 24(l) of Dhaka University Order 1973. Later, this decision was announced in a circular signed by Mahmud Alam, Director of Public Relations Department of Dhaka University.
