RAB-12, CPC-1, 01 drug dealer arrested with 180 pieces of tapentadol tablets in operation of Kushtia camp.

1. Since its inception, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a leading role in bringing all types of criminals under the law with the aim of maintaining the overall law and order situation of the country. RAB has been conducting regular operations to arrest accused in various sensational cases including militants, terrorists, organized criminals, robbers, gamblers, drug dealers, murders, and kidnappings.

2. In continuation of this, under the direction of Md. Maruf Hossain BPM PPM, Captain RAB-12, Sirajganj, on 16th July 2024 at 1740 hours, CPC-1 of RAB-12, Kushtia Company, a sharp raiding party in "Dhepahati village area under Mirpur Thana of Kushtia district" 01 drug peddler was arrested with 180 pcs of Tapentadol tablets (estimated value of Rs. 45,000/-) in anti-narcotics operation. Arrested accused Md Azizul Islam (36) father-deceased mother Mallik Sang-Dhepahati police station-Mirpur district-Kushtia.

3. The preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had been buying and selling narcotics in various police station areas of Kushtia district for a long time.

4. A case has been registered against the arrested drug dealer in Mirpur police station of Kushtia district.

RAB-12 is determined to create a drug-free Sonar Bangla by keeping this kind of drug recovery operation going.
