টাঙ্গাইলের নাগরপুর উপজেলায় এক স্কুলছাত্রীকে (১১) ধর্ষণের অভিযোগে মিজানুর রহমান মিজান (৪০) নামের এক ব্যক্তিকে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে পুলিশ। অভিযুক্ত মিজানুর রহমান উপজেলার গয়হাটা ইউনিয়নের ভাগনুরা গ্রামের মৃত সোহরাব ও মৃত রাহিমা বেগমের ছেলে।
পুলিশ ও পারিবারিক সূত্রে জানা যায়, ভিকটিম অর্পিতা হালদার (১১) মামুদনগর মডেল সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের পঞ্চম শ্রেণির ছাত্রী। গত ১৩ মে ২০২৫ (মঙ্গলবার) দুপুর আনুমানিক ১২টা ৩০ মিনিটে স্কুল চলাকালীন সময় বিদ্যালয়ের নতুন ভবনের উত্তর পাশে অবস্থিত পাকা বাথরুমে গেলে, আগে থেকেই ওঁত পেতে থাকা অভিযুক্ত মিজান বাথরুমের দরজা বন্ধ করে দেয়। এরপর ছাত্রীটির মুখ চেপে ধরে চাকু দেখিয়ে প্রাণনাশের হুমকি দিয়ে তাকে ধর্ষণ করে এবং দ্রুত পালিয়ে যায়।
ঘটনার পরদিন থেকেই ভিকটিম মানসিকভাবে ভেঙে পড়ে। পরে ২৪ মে ২০২৫ তারিখে অর্পিতার মা সবিতা হালদার (৩০) বাদী হয়ে নাগরপুর থানায় লিখিত অভিযোগ দায়ের করেন। এ ঘটনায় নারী ও শিশু নির্যাতন দমন আইন ২০০০ এর ৯(১) ধারা এবং দণ্ডবিধির ৫০৬(২) ধারায় থানায় মামলা রুজু করা হয় (মামলা নম্বর-১৮, তারিখ-২৪/০৫/২০২৫)।
নাগরপুর থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি)মো: রফিকুল ইসলাম জানান, মামলার পরপরই অভিযান চালিয়ে ২৫ মে ভোর ৪টার দিকে অভিযুক্ত মিজানুর রহমানকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়। পরে তাকে আদালতে সোপর্দ করা হয়েছে।
এ ঘটনায় এলাকায় ব্যাপক চাঞ্চল্যের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। ভিকটিমের পরিবার ও স্থানীয়রা দ্রুত বিচার ও দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তির দাবি জানিয়েছে।
