I believe students will get justice in the court: Prime Minister
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged the students to wait till the verdict of the Supreme Court regarding the quota. He said, I believe students will get justice in court.
The Prime Minister said this in his address to the nation on Wednesday (July 17) at 7:30 pm.
In her speech, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that those who entered the quota reform movement and committed murder, looting and sabotage will be punished. In the interest of fair trial and justice, a judicial inquiry will be conducted on all the unintended incidents including murder.
He said, “On this holy day of the year 61 Hijri, Hazrat Imam Hussain and his family members were martyred in the wilderness of Karbala on the banks of Euphrates River. I have deep respect for them.
Highlighting the killing of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family, Sheikh Hasina said that on August 15, 1975, the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family were killed on the soil of Bengal and another Karbala was created on the soil of Bengal. I pay my respects to those who were martyred. We pay our respects to the 3 million martyrs and 2 million victims of the great liberation war in 1971.
