The arrested accused is an identified professional arms dealer. The arrested accused was under the surveillance of RAB detectives for a long time.

Taking advantage of his residence very close to the border, he easily got involved in illegal arms smuggling and trade. Information comes to RAB-5, CPC-1 that they have collected weapons from the border area and kept them in their house for supply.

As soon as the said information was received, the RAB’s Chaukash raiding team and RAB’s white-clothed intelligence team immediately went to the area and based on the intelligence received, increased surveillance on the arrested accused as per the details. Later, at approximately 12:10 PM, the arrested accused’s house was searched in the presence of neutral witnesses and the mentioned signs were recovered from inside the drum of rice husk inside the store room of his residence.

The raid was conducted on 11th January 2024 at 12:10 PM at Chakpara village under Shivganj police station of Chapainawabganj district by accused 1 with foreign pistol-01, magazine-01 and bullets-21 rounds. Md. Enamul Haque (56), father-deceased Qais Uddin, Sang-Uparchakpara, Thana-Shibganj, District-Chapainawabganj was arrested.

It may be noted that there is an earlier weapons case in the name of the arrested accused.

A case has been registered in Shibganj police station of Chapainawabganj district in the above incident.
